I have never been one to enjoy exercise, but I knew I was not liking the road I was heading down. I was weak and overweight. I had no upper body strength and my legs and arms had no definition other than fat. I couldn’t fit into the clothes in my closet, and I refused to buy larger sizes. I knew I had to do something different or I would only get worse.

I started working out last February, two days after Valentine’s Day. Because I had not exercised in so long, after the workout, I had a headache and vomited. I went back the following day and got sick again. It hurt to sit down or stretch out my arms, but I continued to go. After about 4 weeks, I developed the habit of going. I felt that my body had started to crave exercise and wanted to sweat.

I lost 6 pounds in 2 months; this was without changing my diet. My muscles in my arms and legs had become stronger, but with the extra weight it was hard to tell. At this point, I became serious about losing weight.

After 4 months of cutting out ice-cream and other desserts, eating smaller portions of food, only green teas at Starbucks, and working out 4 times a week in Stockton, I have lost a total of 30 pounds. I feel and look stronger than ever before, and I can fit into all of my clothes in my closet!

The workouts at Pure Form are like no other. The trainers are great and are quick to correct improper form. All the members are so polite and friendly. It’s a 45 minute intense workout that works all parts of the body. Carl changes up the workouts daily, so you never know what to expect. I now enjoy exercising and look forward to seeing my PFT family every time I go. Praise God!
